My son has been awesome this weekend. I decide that the road to teh win starts with him. I take him in my wife's car to the Puma store and get us both some new kicks.

I want to set the mood right to achieve epic levels of win. That means music. For me, The Win + Music = AC/DC. I put my iPod on a continuous AC/DC loop and keep going.
That's a good start, but I need something more. I decide to pay my respects to the car gods before I go any further.
This is for me:

This is for my homies:

Now it's time for the ultimate slap in the face to Murphy. If the Irish aren't treating you well - go party with Scotts:

WE ARE NOW READY TO RESUME MODDING!!!!!
I still need to grind away some material and then test fit the tank. I realize there is only one tool left in my arsenal that can get the job done:

Far from ideal? Yes. Will get the job done? Also yes.
After I ground down some of the sharp edges, I install some automotive rubber door trim on what's left of the bracket:

I test fit the gauge again and see that I will need to take off some material here so I marked up where I'll need to trim:

After I've taken the drill/carbide bit to the piece I marked up, I switched to a grinding stone bit to take down the location where I will mount the pump ground

Note to self: the drill will work, but is not a precision instrument
Murphy isn't quite awake yet, so he throws a soft punch my direction. One of my overhead lights in the garage goes out:

There are two sets of lights up there Murphy! It's going to take a lot more than that to stop me. Besides, the Cavalry has returned!!!!! x86Brandon is back and just in time. I've only now just realized that I will need nylon spacers and super long bolts in order to mount the tank in this location. He runs off to home depot and I press on.
Now that I've got everything cut that needs to be cut, I start working on the actual system again. I used some foam to secure the pump against the tank. I'm sure this isn't necessary, but I want to make sure it doesn't rattle

I secure more foam around the area I just cut away and check the setup one last time before tighting down all the fittings.

Group energy is a strange thing. You see it all the time in sports - a fresh player comes into the game off the bench and the tempo and quality of the game increases dramatically. That's exactly what Brandon did for me. I was tired. I was pissed. Murphy had been beating my tired body sideways all day. The tides had turned before he showed up, but when he got here we picked up to Tsunami sized waves.
After he gets back from Home Depot he installs the spacers, and bolts. The bolts were a bit too long to re-install the cover, so he cut them down. Cut them down with what you ask? The dremel. The piece of crap demel that died in the middle of my work now has miraculously come back to life and is taking the bolts to task.

We get everything setup and test out the system. The jokes you can make with a methanol injection system test are obvious, but funny anyway:

Works just fine thank you very much:

With the tank now securely in place and the system tested, we run the lines
You're probably thinking to yourself at this point "cool install, but it's going to be really hard to actually put meth in the tank this way.

Hi - have we met? Do you really think I'd do something half way?
The right tool for the job:

And done:

Like it's not even there:
