Tip 2: Learning about Fiberglass

I've been a busy again. Apart from having the WRX one part (no, seriously) from being completely done I've been working on my latest car (more on this later) and working on...you know...real actual work that pays me money.

I'm not happy with the layout of this blog. My projects tend to jump around and it'd be easier if there was a page that had all the links to project posts in chronological order so that you can really see everything from start to finish instead of scrolling down. I also need to add some links to all of the resources and references I use because I think it'll be helpful.

I got another question on the forums though, so it's time for my second tip.

I was wondering mr diy mod god, could you give me tips on fiberglassing? im looking at making my own custom eyelids, maybe if they turn out good my friend and i will mass produce them for other cars as well. I got a main idea down, just need more tips with fiber glassing and what not.

Thanks,
Bobby

Hi Bobby,

Go Here

There is nothing that I know how to do or how to build that I didn't learn from this place. It's friggin awesome. It's membership is worldwide, meaning that you get input from a huge body of VERY knowledgeable folks. It's a really good community. As long as you use the [search] button and just don't start newb threads people will answer your questions.

Sign up. You can't read anything on that forum without being a member.

Contribute a few dollars. They're one of those underfunded forums that need the members to contribute on a fairly regular basis to keep the forum running.

Then:

1. Read all the stickies in all the main forums. They're gold.

2. Read all the stickies again.

3. Do a couple of searches on eyelids. There are MANY projects of that type on the forum.

If you still need help then post a thread. You may not get answers within 10 minutes like on Nasioc but you will get answers. You just need to be patient.
